Under the guidance of education-friendly Deputy Commissioner Mr. Md. Zillur Rahman Chowdhury (2015–2017), academic activities commenced on 1 January 2016 with 84 students in Class VI. On 27 June 2016, the second academic building (South) was inaugurated by the then Divisional Commissioner Mr. Md. Ruhul Amin. The institution received official recognition from the Ministry of Education for the Junior Secondary level on 17 November 2017 and for the Secondary level on 21 October 2018. During her tenure, Deputy Commissioner Ms. Homayra Begum (2017–2018) also played a notable role in improving the quality of education.
The contribution of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mr. Md. Sazzadul Hasan (currently Joint Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs) is especially noteworthy. He played a crucial role in infrastructural development and in obtaining approval for the college section.
Deputy Commissioner Mr. Anjan Chandra Pal (2018–2021) inaugurated construction work worth Tk. 8.5 million for further infrastructural development.
In 2021, upon assuming office, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain Akhand undertook several significant initiatives for the development of the institution. Under his leadership, the English Version was introduced, and its academic activities were officially inaugurated on 20 February 2021. Important facilities such as the Shaheed Minar, canteen, and guardian shed were also established during his tenure.
On 25 September 2021, the wooden floor library was inaugurated by Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, Director General of the Islamic Foundation, Dhaka. In the same year, further development projects were inaugurated by Divisional Commissioners Mr. Md. Kamrul Hasan (NDC) and Mr. Md. Ashraf Uddin. During the academic session 2021–2022, the college section was introduced, including the recruitment of teachers and the admission of students in Class XI. At present, the overall development of the institution is being guided by the honorable Deputy Commissioner Mr. S. M. Mehedi Hasan.
Through the collective efforts of teachers, students, and all stakeholders, the institution continues to play a vital role in enhancing the quality of education in Lakshmipur.
